Robotics Labs at Rutgers Move to New Downtown New Brunswick Location

The PRACSYS lab of Dr. Kostas Bekris as well as the research labs of Dr. Abdeslam Boularias and Dr. Jingjin Yu have moved to a new location of the School of Arts and Science (SAS) in downtown New Brunswick. The new address of the robotics lab, 1 Spring Street, is right next to the New Brunswick train station and provides opportunities for additional collaboration with corporate partners and incubation of start-ups. The space provides access to a new, larger robotics lab, which hosts the robotic equipment of the three research groups, including a RoboMantis humanoid robot, a dual-arm Yaskawa Motoman robot, a lightweight Kuka arm on a mobile base, a Baxter robot on a mobile base and small Kuka mobile manipulators, beyond many alternatives for sensing and end-effectors.
